Choose to Accelerate

Back in December, we bought my 2-year-old granddaughter a 4-wheeler. The exciting feature of this ride-on toy is that it blows out a lot of bubbles when the gas pedal is pressed. She absolutely loved seeing those bubbles! However, the problem was that she didn’t want to do what was needed to make them blow. Instead, she insisted on riding the toy in the same way she rode her older ride-on toys, which required her to scoot along using her feet. I thought she would enjoy the easier method since it didn’t require any physical effort. No matter how much we instructed her on how to use her new toy, she kept defaulting to her old habits.
This situation made me reflect on my relationship with the Lord. Many times, He has offered me better opportunities and easier ways to do things, yet I often revert to the old ways that I’m comfortable with. I had to learn the hard way, resulting in wasted time and resources. I eventually learned to let go and trust God because His ways are much higher than mine.

Just like my granddaughter enjoyed seeing those bubbles blow, we should love seeing the outcome of what our obedience in Christ can produce.
We must trust that God's methods will lead to more favorable results in our lives.
I encourage you to stop "scooting" through life when God has shown you how to accelerate!

Verse of Meditation: Isaiah 55:8-9 (ESV)
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Salvation
If you wish to deepen your relationship with God and seek a closer relationship with Him, today is the perfect opportunity. If you are uncertain about your eternal destiny and whether you will join Him in Heaven after death, please recite the following prayer aloud:
Lord, I invite you to come into my life. I will make you Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I believe You died on the cross for my sins, and three days later, you got up with all power in your hands. Wash and cleanse me from all my sins and make me whole before you today. I renounce my past and look forward to my future in You. Lord, fill me with the Holy Spirit as only you can. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray.
If you said the above prayer by faith, you are saved, my friend. I encourage you to reach out to me if you have any questions about your salvation or would like to connect with a faith-based church.
