As we neared a flight of stairs, I noticed my one-year-old granddaughter becoming excited. Every step she took impressed me. Holding her hand, she confidently navigated each stair. I believe she

managed the stairs well, given her size and shorter legs. I'm convinced she could have climbed the large staircase on her own, lol! Still, I felt she needed some extra support. However, as we were leaving our

destination to head back home, the situation changed... Her quick attempt to descend the stairs startled me. I swiftly grabbed her hand as she had already started going down. WHEW!! If I hadn't caught her, she might have tumbled down!

At that moment, fear took hold of me, and the Lord started speaking. He told me that Ava has no fear of going up or down the stairs. He noted how she didn't hesitate or assess the stairs before taking the first step. She never let fear set in. I must admit that I've struggled with taking the first step when God has revealed a dream to me or asked me to do something out of obedience. Honestly, I tend to quickly calculate the cost or evaluate the task.

Nonetheless, let's refocus on these stairs. As I turned my attention back to my granddaughter,

I thought, “But she would have fallen down the stairs if I hadn't caught her!” Gently, God reminded me that she wasn't going to fall because she wasn't concentrating on falling! Moreover, she had faith because I was there with her. He whispered to me, reminding me that He walks with His children every step of the way. He is always prepared to reach out and hold our hand if we stumble, but first, we must TRUST Him and take the initial step!

Verse of Meditation: Matthew 18: 2-4

“He called a little child to him and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”

Salvation

If you wish to deepen your relationship with God and seek a closer relationship with Him, today is the perfect opportunity. If you are uncertain about your eternal destiny and whether you will join Him in Heaven after death, please recite the following prayer aloud:

Lord, come into my life, I will make you Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I believe you died on the cross for my sins and three days later you got up with all power in your hands. Wash me and cleans me from all my sins and make me whole before you today. I renounce my past and look forward to my future in you. Lord fill me with the Holy Spirit as only you can. In your name of Jesus Christ, I pray.

If you have said the above prayer by faith, you are saved, my friend. I encourage you to reach out to me if you have any questions about your salvation or would like to connect with a faith-based church.
